Amina Yuguda is a news presenter on local network Gotel Television, where she has reported on high-profile news stories, including the Boko Haram insurgency. She will start a three-month placement at the BBC in London in September. The award was created to honour Komla Dumor, a presenter for BBC World News, who died suddenly aged 41 in 2014.

Ghana: One-Man Demonstration to Petition Authorities over Korle-Lagoon Staged

The long-awaited One-Man Demonstration exercise by the South African based Ghanaian motivational speaker, Mr. Fred Amui over transforming Korle-Lagoon into a water transport system has been staged Friday, September 15, 2017. The exercise was engineered by Power Africa Multimedia Ltd and its subsidiary, Drink Safe Water (DSW) advocacy group. Mr. Amui who was the petitioner recounted how disgusting the situation of the lagoon and other water resources in Ghana has crippled the people.
